TETRAHEDRAL KITE

"Leave the beaten track occasionally and dive into the woods. Every time you do so you will be certain to find something that you have never seen before. Follow it up, explore all around it, and before you know it, you will have something worth thinking about to occupy your mind. All really big discoveries are the results of thought."
-Alexander Graham Bell-

A tetrahedral kite is a multi-celled rigid box kite composed of tetrahedrally shaped cell. It is an invention of Alexander Graham Bell who is more well known for his invention of telephone......
In 2007, a batch of students in Pendang High school decided to explore more about the invention of Alexander Graham Bell. With the help from the society's adviser who is also a Mathematics teacher in Pendang High School, Pn Teh Phei Choo, kites are made and experienced by themselves the utility and strength  of the tetrahedron as a three-dimensional structure......

PAPER AIRPLANE

I am writing this as an ex-student of Pendang High School who has been invited to the event organised by the Mathematics Society. Paper airplane festival, it sounds nothing more than lots of fun. Spending whole Friday night, I was sitting and thinking what to expect the next day. Will the students bombard me with lots of questions about getting scholarship or furthering their study oversea? Will the students feel awkward talking to me or the other way round? Lastly, I came to a decision, I want to learn how to fold a proper paper airplane! And so, I googled "Paper Airplane", what caught my eyes is "The paper airplane movie" and I totally ignored "the paper airplane plan" and "the best paper airplane" listing down the webpage.
What can change the way you think about the world? How can you be more special than others?

Imagine the possibilities!!

(I remember seeing that paper-ball type of paper airplane during the festival~~ :D if anyone of you remember...)

When  you are doing something, think and just do it, do not think that you can't do because what can help you in your life is what you did and not what you think you can't do.

This is one of the things I learnt after years being away from Pendang, it is simple but it took me years to really understand and implement it in my life.

Good job and well done to all of you who has contributed your hard-work and also laughter in the paper airplane festival! Find out more about what you have brought to an outsider (me!!) by clicking on the photo below. :)
